We are pleased to announce the completion and commissioning of our Air Diffusion Systems (ADS) wastewater treatment system at Vina Robles Winery in Paso Robles, CA.
This system features two 25 horsepower blowers (1 in operation, 1 for backup), 34 DM-LTC air diffusers and a complete automation and remote operation package. It is capable of treating 12,000 gallons per day of winery process wastewater at 5,000 mg/L BOD and 600 mg/L TSS. As with all ADS systems, it is guaranteed to be odorless and meet discharge requirements.
Sustainability was one of the main driving forces behind the project… and we delivered. Typical conditions will see this system operating at only 15-18 brake horsepower during crush and well less than that in the off season. A typical surface aeration system would require 45 horsepower or more and would cost at least $25,000 per year more to operate compared to the ADS system. Furthermore, the water will be treated to a level such that it can be re-used for landscape and crop irrigation.
